2022 Summer College Application Workshop
The Apps4College Summer College Application Workshop is a 4-sessions course which will allow students to complete the majority of the Common Application and Apply Texas before school starts in August! This workshop is designed to accommodate the busy student whose rigorous schedule makes it difficult to complete college applications once the senior year begins. During these classes the students will work individually and in small groups with our counselors from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to complete a resume, several essays, and the bulk of the Common Application and Apply Texas. They will learn how to request proper letters of recommendation as well as how to send standardized test scores and school transcripts to each college. Counselors will review essays and return the work to the students prior to the next class meeting. The student-to-counselor ratio will be 5:1. There will also be college summer interns who will be assisting and advising students with all aspects of the workshop.
This class will be an intense, comprehensive work period. To achieve necessary goals, each student will be expected to stay on task and complete daily classroom and homework assignments. While these four sessions will be challenging, the rewards of having the majority of the college application process completed before the start of the senior year will be wonderful!
Important dates to remember: Apply Texas opens on July 1. (The University of Texas and Texas A&M open their Apply Texas portals on August 1). The Common Application also opens on August 1. Early Decision and Early Action deadlines are November 1, November 15, December 1, and January 1 (depending on the school). Just imagine how good your child will feel beginning his/her senior year with most of the college application process completed!

Workshop Includes:
- Two and a half hours of instruction per class/ four class sessions in total
- One completed resume
- Common Application and Apply Texas entries
- A collection of essays that can be used on the Common Application and Apply Texas
