Linda Schroeder
Linda Schroeder, the founder of Apps4College®, graduated from The University of Texas at Austin, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with concentrations in English and History. For her service and leadership at UT, she was honored at graduation to be chosen as a Cactus Goodfellow. Following graduation, she taught in the Spring Branch Independent School District. Linda is an accredited member of the national Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and the Texas Association of College Counselors (TACAC).
In addition to teaching high school students how to write, Linda has owned and operated several small businesses. Over the years, she has served in many leadership positions in various community, school, and church organizations in Houston. Her first love remains helping high school students navigate their way to college.
Apps4College® has a staff of trained professionals who will help each student with all aspects of the college application. A variety of educators assist with essay and resume development, application completion, and interview skills. Each teacher has had many years of experience working with high school students and college admission. We work with students individually or in small groups to ensure that each student receives very personalized instruction.

Mackenzie Payton
Mackenzie Payton is a new Senior Counselor at Apps4College. Mackenzie graduated from St. Agnes Academy and attended Saint Louis University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business. She brings over a decade of experience helping students and families navigate the college application process. She is passionate about students finding the "right" fit for their college - wherever that may be! Mackenzie has spent time on both sides of the college counseling desk, helping high school students at Cristo Rey Jesuit in Houston and serving in regional positions at Saint Louis University, Colorado State University, and The University of Tulsa. As a regional admission counselor, she reviewed applications, made admission decisions, participated in admission committees, awarded scholarships, and presented topics including selectivity, scholarships, financial aid, and more to students and families.
Mackenzie is an active member of the Texas Association of College Admissions Counselors and has served on the Executive Board of TACAC as Communications Chair from 2018-to 2019 and in numerous other volunteer positions. She currently resides in Lubbock with her husband and three small children. She is an active member of the community and the Junior League of Lubbock. She looks forward to working with you and your student!
Ginger Logan
Ginger Logan is a certified College Access Counselor and senior counselor with Apps4College. Ginger was born and raised in New Orleans and earned a B.A. in History with a minor in Political science from Louisiana State University. She began a career in higher education as an Executive Learning Consultant, helping college professors, department chairs, and administrators find the best learning solutions for their students. She has worked with most colleges and universities in Texas and other Southeastern states during her twenty years in higher education. She has a deep understanding of the college landscape, how these institutions operate, and what they expect of their students, as well as what tools students need to have to be successful. Ginger’s love of learning and desire to help students succeed in college led her back to school to pursue her Certification in College Access Counseling from Rice University in 2017. Ginger has a passion for helping students navigate through all aspects of the college admissions process. Ginger is a member of the Texas Association of College Access Counselors. She and her husband, John, have three daughters. She is active in the National Charity League, serves as an ambassador and mentor parent at Saint Agnes Academy, and is an active member of her church.
Our 2025 Summer Interns


Caroline
Caroline will be a sophomore at Texas A&M University this fall, where she is majoring in Political Science. After completing her undergraduate degree, she plans to attend law school. She is a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Before attending Texas A&M, Caroline graduated from St. Agnes Academy in Houston, where she founded the French Club, was elected a member of the Student Council, and acted as a Tiger Ambassador. She is looking forward to helping students with their college applications!


Campbell
Campbell will be a senior at Texas A&M this fall, where she majors in Kinesiology - Dance Science, and she hopes to attend law school after completing her undergraduate degree. She has loved her time at A&M and just returned from studying abroad in Scotland this spring semester. Before attending AQ&M, Campbell attended St. Thomas Episcopal School, where she servied as a student ambassador, an executive officer for the Student Foundation, and was a well-accomplished Highland dancer. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, running, reading, traveling, and hanging out with friends. She is looking forward to helping high school students through the college application process.

Lilly
Lilly is a recent Fort Bend Christian Academy graduate. She is part of the FBCA varsity track and field team, National Honor Society, FBCA Business Club, and National Charity League. She will attend Texas A&M University in the fall to study business and finance at the Mays Business School. When not studying, Lilly enjoys volunteering, fashion, and photography.


Rachel
Rachel is a fourth-year student at the University of California, Santa Barbara, pursuing a B.S. in Pharmacology. She will be graduating in June of 2025 and plans to take some time off from school before applying to medical school to work as an EMT in the Houston area. In her free time Rachel enjoys trying new coffee shops and restaurants, long walks in Memorial Park, trying new workout classes, and working on puzzles. Rachel is excited to return to Houston, work for Apps4College as an intern, and help high school students complete their college applications.
